I’ve learned that with stained glass tools, typically the more expensive name brand items are worth the cost in the long run because pretty much everything else is made very cheaply and sucks. So I was quite surprised when I ordered this set, (mainly for the pliers as backups, but it’s also came with a no-name pistol grip glass cutter with extra replacement heads), and found the glass cutter to, A: work way better and B: be much more comfortable to use, then the Toyo classic pencil grip glass cutter I ordered on Amazon at the same time! This pistol grip glass cutter made clean, smooth scores with very little effort, on fairly thick glass too! It doesn’t leak the cutting oil either. As for the longevity of the cutting wheel, I couldn’t say as I’ve only used it on just one small-ish project so far. Oh, and the pliers work great too! All in all, I would totally recommend this set to anyone who does stained glass to save yourself a few bucks!!
